Teresa Owen Tate December 15, 1965 - October 25, 2023
Teresa Owen Tate, known to her loved ones as Tracey, passed away peacefully at home, on October 25, 2023, at the age of 57. She was born on December 15, 1965, in Stuart, VA, to the late Randall Trent Owen and Carolyn Snow Owen.

Tracey was a remarkable woman who inspired everyone she encountered. Her infectious laugh and positive outlook on life left a lasting impression on those around her. Tracey lived life to the fullest, cherishing moments spent with her loved ones, exploring new places through travel, and making every day count. She was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her granddaughters, taking them on vacations, shopping, and spending lots of quality time with each of them.

She is survived by her parents, Carolyn and Bud Batten, daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Warren Rutherford, as well as her beloved granddaughters, Hadley, Bronwyn, and Shanleigh. Tracey also leaves behind close family, Krystle, Cameron, Madison, Maggie, and Camden Collie; Suzanne, Mark, Dillon (Becca), and Tyler Shotwell; and brothers, Brandon (Jamie) and Trevor (Jacklyn) Owen and niece and nephews, Summer, Julian, Wesley, Carson, and Porter. Additionally, she leaves, with cherished memories, her long-time best friend Pat Kidd.

Tracey was preceded in death by her father, Randall Owen, her maternal grandparents, Willie and Alice Snow, paternal grandparents Walter and Lora Owen, and Aunt Linda Lacks.

A service to honor Tracey's life will take place on Saturday, November 4, at 11:00 a.m. at New Vision Baptist Worship Center, 4765 Hampton Rd, Clemmons NC 27102. Following the service will be a time for food and fellowship at the church.
A special thank you to nurses Lora, Joshua, and April, from Mountain Valley Hospice, for their care and compassion in Tracey's last weeks.

Please join Tracey's family and friends in celebrating her remarkable life and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

The staff at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel is honored to be serving the Tate family during this difficult time.
