Floyd Marshall Leach October 31, 1946 - October 26, 2023
Floyd Marshall Leach, Jr., 76, passed away on October 26, 2023. He was born on October 31, 1946, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to the late Floyd Marshall Leach, Sr., and Charlotte Virginia Pope Leach.

Marshall, as he was known to many, led a fulfilling life, marked by his dedication and love for his family, horses, and dogs. He was a retired truck driver for J. Par Trucking, where his work ethic and commitment shone through. Marshall also served in the United States Air Force and spent time as a commercial fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sylvia Joe East Leach. He is survived by his two sisters, Gina Hill (Phil) and Yvonne L. Jones.

Marshall's family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the VA and Mountain Valley Hospice for their unwavering support and care during Marshall's journey. A special thank you and God's blessings are also offered to Dr. Alexis Nifong and Dr. Ted Nifong for their exceptional and compassionate care, going above and beyond the call of duty.

In addition, the family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Uncle Nelson and Aunt Faye Goolsby for their dedicated assistance in transporting Marshall to numerous doctor visits at the VA Hospital in Salisbury, NC, as well as to Uncle Wayne and Aunt Carolyn (Butch) Pope for their frequent visits and shared meals, which brought much-needed laughter during difficult times.

Marshall's family would also like to thank Tracy Wislick and Tammy Leach for what they did. May God bless you both.

Contributions in Marshall's memory may be made to Hopewell Moravian Church or Mountain Valley Hospice.

The staff at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel is honored to be serving the Leach family during this challenging time.
A graveside service at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC, will take place at a later date, where friends and loved ones will come together to celebrate Marshall's life and bid him a fond farewell.
