Richard Dale McCrary July 18, 1938 - May 10, 2022
Richard Dale McCrary, Sr., 83, a resident of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Citadel of Winston-Salem. He was born July 18, 1938, in Davidson County to the late Foster and Audrey Hiatt McCrary. Richard served in the Army National Guard for 10 years. Prior to his retirement in 2015, he was the owner and operator of Richard McCrary House Moving. Richard was a member of Midway United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Norman; sisters, Patsy Salmon and Pansy McCrary; and brothers, Steven and Ralph McCrary.



A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, May 21, 2021, at 2:00 PM in Midway United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck Ireson officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington
Richard is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Evelyn Ann Wicker McCrary; daughter, Robin McCrary Parsons; a son, Richard Dale McCrary, Jr.; brothers, Walter McCrary (Shirley) and Ronnie McCrary (Janelle); a sister, Janice McCrary Patton (Jerry); grandchildren, Kevin Gene Autry, Jr. (Katie), Lynn McCrary (Beth), numerous nieces and nephews; and special fur companion, Lucky.
