Daniel Hugh Westbrook May 22, 1936 - June 02, 2022
Daniel Hugh Westbrook, 86, of Lexington, passed away June 2, 2022, at his home in Lexington.



A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am Monday June 6, 2022, with the Pastors Clyde Akers and Sammy Allison officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 5-7 pm at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.



Mr. Westbrook was born May 22, 1936, in Dinwiddie County Virginia, to Joseph Hugh Westbrook and Elsie Marion Thomas Westbrook. Daniel was a devoted member of the church. Was a veteran having served with the US Army. Daniel was retired with Hartley Exxon with 50 years of service and having work with the Civic Center as Event Manager. He loved to bowl having won a national championship. His passion was his faith, church, family and especially his grandchildren and great grandson. Daniel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, brother, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Ann Westbrook Yarbrough who died March 2, 2015, brothers, Walter Ashley, Carroll Westbrook, Lawrence Westbrook, sisters, Rose Powell, and Stacey James.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Mary Ann Furr Westbrook of the home, daughter, Annette Tolley and husband Patrick of Arden, N.C.; three grandchildren, Amber Yarbrough, Rebecca Peeles, and Adam Tolly, great grandson, Lennox Peeles, brother, Doug Westbrook and wife Martha, sisters, Myrtle Carwile, Wilma Michael and husband David, Margaret Morrow and husband Ike, Elizabeth Wright and husband Tom and Heides Jones, and 19 Nieces & Nephews.
