Junior Clinard Hicks November 16, 1938 - November 23, 2022
Junior Clinard Hicks, 84, of Shamrock Drive in Lexington, passed away Wednesday November 23, 2022 at his home.



A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Pastor Michael Greer officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.



The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.



Mr. Hicks was born November 16, 1938 in Watauga County North Carolina to Clinard Roosevelt Hicks and Bulah Blanch Presnell Hicks. He was retired from Stanley Furniture and a member of Cross Point Church. Junior found much pleasure in deer hunting, fishing gardening, and especially spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lisa Miller; three brothers, “Brownie” Hicks, Rev. Don Hicks, and Victor Hicks and; seven sisters, Jean Hunt, Faye Clark, Dolly Ward, Louanna Presnell, Artha Hicks and Mamie Shrewsberry.
Surviving is his wife, Gracie Queen Hicks, of the home; three sons, Tony Hicks (Kimberli), of Florida, Michael Hicks (Susanna) of Lexington and Jon Hicks (Theresa) of Denton; one daughter, Jennifer Penninger (David) of Lexington; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Mike Miller of Tyro.
