Jack Billy Marble March 07, 1929 - June 21, 2023
Jack Billy Marble, 94, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023. Jack was born in Jacksonville, Alabama, on March 7, 1929, to the late Ferdie Marble and Maudie Holden Marble.



Jack was known to many through his work in the bar-b-que restaurant business owning the Bar-B-Que Center in Winston Salem from 1968 to 1978. After retirement, he enjoyed farming. He was a Master Mason for 72 years, with the Lexington Memorial Lodge 473, a member of the Winston Salem Scottish Rites, Oasis Shrine in Charlotte, and the Lexington Shrine Club. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. He loved spending time in Florida during February where he made many friends playing shuffleboard and sitting on the boardwalk watching the sunset. Jack never met a stranger and treated everyone like family. He also loved traveling in both the US and Europe.



Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Lula Mae Marble, sister, Florence Marble Latham, brother, Charles Marble.



Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Kaye Marble Linville (Gary) his son, Jackie Marble (Lisa), three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren all of Lexington.
A masonic graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Dr. Roger Weisner and Rev. Janet Dixon conducting the service, and with visitation to follow in the church Family Life Center.



The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made in Jack’s memory to Shriner’s Hospital; for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Fl 33607, an organization that he loved and supported for many years. Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Bethesda United Methodist Church, building fund, 2292 Bethesda Road, Lexington, NC 27295



A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ted Nifong and staff at Cedar Creek Family Medicine for their love and care for Jack over the years, and the staff at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living that for the last 6 months loving cared for Jack and became an extended family to him.
