Elizabeth “Betty Kerr” Hall Osborne, 84, passed away August 29, 2023, at Lexington Health Care with her loving daughter by her side. Betty was born May 11, 1939, in Alamance County, to the late Tracey Irving Hall and Eloise Ross Hall. She grew up in Asheboro, NC and attended Asheboro High School. Betty went to Salem College and graduated from Lees McRae College where she met her husband, Harold Keith Osborne. Harold and Betty were married in 1960, lived in Lexington, NC and had a loving marriage of 53 years until his passing on June 14, 2013.

Betty worked for Lexington Memorial Hospital for over 40 years supervising the medical records department. She was passionate about her career and was respected by the nurses, doctors, and staff of the hospital. Betty loved her community. She served on the Lexington Public Library Board and was a dedicated volunteer for Medical Ministries. Her favorite ways to spend her time were by reading and playing bridge with her friends. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was “The Boss” of her family. She worked long hard hours at the hospital and would then come home, get dinner on the table, and enjoy a well-deserved glass of wine. Betty was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lexington where she attended and volunteered when she was able.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Tracey Osborne Comer and husband Michael of Greensboro, her granddaughter, Elizabeth Alexander Comer of Greensboro, and brother, John Irving Hall of Randolph County.

There will be a private family burial at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday September 9, 2023, at First Presbyterial Church of Lexington, 15 West Third Street, Lexington, NC 27292 at 11:00am with a luncheon in the fellowship hall following the service.
