Jeffrey Alan Hurt, 58 of Lexington, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, in Surf City, NC.
Born December 5th, 1964, in Brunswick Georgia; he was the son of the late John Lewis Hurt and Patricia Bodie Hurt.
Jeffrey (Jeff) graduated from Lexington High School in 1982. He then went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed four years at Cherry Point, NC and served a tour in Okinawa, Japan. After his time in the Marines, he spent 34 years working for Padon Roofing. He was an amazing cook and grill master with an even deeper passion for fishing. He loved spending time on Portsmouth Island fishing with sons and friends. Best of all, Jeff was a loyal and loving husband, Daddy, Pawpaw, and friend. He loved his family deeply and put a smile on all the faces of those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife and love of 27 years, Lisa Hurt; oldest son, Jeffrey “Chase” Hurt (Andrea) youngest son, Brandon Hurt (Mikala); four grandchildren, Jett, Jentry, Jade and Dottie June Hurt; mother, Patricia Hurt, stepmother Carolyn Hurt, sister Kathy Grey (Paul), and sister, Leslie Blankenship (Brad). Special friends David and Penny Howell and USMC Brothers.

A celebration of his life will be held at Davidson Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 4:00. Family will receive friends following the service.
