Edward Eugene Teague June 27, 1942 - October 20, 2023
Edward “Eddie” Eugene Teague, 81, of Kernersville passed away on October 20, 2023. He was born June 27, 1942, in Winston-Salem to Edward “Heo” and Mildred Nichols Teague. He was a 1960 graduate of Griffith High School.

Eddie worked for Budweiser in North Wilkesboro and retired as a security guard from Salem College. Some of his favorite things were playing golf, butter pecan ice cream, and his great nieces, Claire and Caroline.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Shelby Teague Neil, niece Jennifer Teague Bush, and nephew Ken Harris.

He is survived by a sister Brenda Teague Hicks (Bob), brother Don Teague (Diane), brother-in-law Jim Neil, and cousin Jane Holler Williamson. Nieces Amy Hicks Linville (Josh), Kim Teague Harris, Kristin Williamson Ball (Brendon), Karrie Williamson Jarman (Chris), and nephews Scott Long and Jeremy Bush. “Uncle Eddie” loved spending time with his extended family.

Eddie was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. In 2011, he placed his trust in Christ as his personal Savior and his life forever changed. He was always willing to share his testimony with others.

A graveside service will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church in Lexington on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 4 p.m. with Pastor Josh Evans and Pastor T. W. Bailey officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the Welcome Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the UGBC Building Fund. www.ugbchurch.net/give

The family would like to thank Eddie’s special friends Wayne Pope and Jabbo Bennett, lifelong friends from high school. A special thank you to Amy Linville for overseeing her uncle’s care in his last 5 years of declining health.
We rejoice in a life well lived and know that this is only a temporary separation until we join him in our Heavenly Home.

The staff of Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel is honored to be serving the Teague family during this difficult time.
