Zana Mae Leonard Phillips February 15, 1933 - June 6, 2025
Zana Mae Leonard Phillips, age 92, of Lexington, NC, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 6th, 2025. Born in North Carolina on Wednesday, February 15th, 1933, Zana lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to her community and family.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Zana is survived by three cherished sons: Ricky Dean Phillips and his wife Kim, Victor Kent Phillips and his wife Sherri, and Ronald Lynn Phillips and his wife Lori. Zana was also the proud grandmother to four grandsons Jason, Christopher, Cameron, and Bradley and a loving great-grandmother to Jaxson and another on the way. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Zana was preceded in death by her loving Husband of 65 years; Paul Franklin Phillips who she married on July 7, 1951, father, Coy David Leonard, her mother, Gladys Hill Leonard, A infant twin son, Donald Glenn Phillips and her brother, Larry Leonard and his wife LeVonne. Her family is comforted by the thought of their reunion in eternity.

A respected member of the educational community, Zana dedicated many years at Reedy Creek and Northwest Elementry nurturing young minds as a Teacher Assistant with Davidson County Schools. Her commitment to education and her compassionate demeanor left an indelible mark on both her students and colleagues.

In celebration of her remarkable life, family and friends are invited to gather in her memory at a service held 4:00 pm Wednesday June 11, 2025 at Good Hope UMC . Pastor Tommy Robertson will officiate, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family looks forward to receiving loved ones after the service in the church fellowship hall, sharing memories and celebrating the life of a remarkable woman.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel who have provided their compassionate services.
Zana will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her faith, and the profound impact she had on those whose lives she touched. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at Forsyth Medical Center and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
