Stanley Allen Wright, 89
LINWOOD — Stanley Allen Wright, 89, of Linwood, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Born in Thomasville, NC, on Jan. 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Pauline Stanley Wright and Clyde Wright.

Mr. Wright was a graduate of Thomasville High School and a veteran of the US Army. He worked as a paint contractor and was a member of Churchland Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, water skiing, snow skiing, flying private aircraft and horse riding.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Allen Wright; and brother Richard “Dick” Wright.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Richard Wright (Rhonda) and James Craig Wright (Sara); daughters, Anne Miller (Bucky), Dana Jessup (Jeremy) and Keri Wedde (James); brother Robert Wright; sister Gennie Poe; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Rebecca Sue Koonts August 10, 1944 - December 21, 2022
Rebecca “Becky” Lassiter Koonts age 78, of Lexington died Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at her home with family by her side.



A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, December 23, 2022, at Shiloh United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Ryan Mendenhall. A burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rebecca will lie-in-state from 1:30 till 2:45 in the church sanctuary, the family will receive family and friends after the committal service in the Family Life Center.



Becky was born in Davidson County on August 10, 1944, to Jesse Ray Lassiter and Ruby Peeler Lassiter. Becky retired from Orrell’s Food Service and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Shirley Lawrence Frank April 14, 1946 - December 20, 2022
Shirley Lawrence Frank, 76, of Lexington, passed away December 20, 2022, at her home in Lexington.



A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 2022, at Beck’s Reformed Church, where she was a member with Revs. Paul Perkins and Butch Conrad officiating, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.



Shirley was born May 14, 1946, in Alamance County to Henry Raleigh Lawrence and Elma Kelly Lawrence. She was a devoted member of the church and the church choir for many years, was a retired with 30 years of teacher and administrator with the Forsyth County School System and having graduated from Appalachian State University and UNC Greensboro, she was mentor with Salem College having trained and help students get there teaching degree. Her passion was her faith, church and family. Shirley was a loving wife, sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Billy and Donald Lawrence

Robert Paul Jarrett March 27, 1935 - December 20, 2022
Robert Paul Jarrett, 87, of Lexington, passed away December 19, 2022, at Wake Forest Medical Center in Lexington.



A visitation to celebrate his life will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the home of his daughter, Robin Jarrett, and the home of his son, Paul Jarrett.



Mr. Jarrett was born March 27, 1935, in Davidson County, to William Paul Jarrett and Margaret Cope Jarrett. He was a veteran, having served in the US Navy for many years. He retired as a city carrier for the US Postal Service with over 19 years of service, and worked with the City of Lexington ABC Board for 31 years. Bob was a life member of VFW Post 3074, DAV Post 39, and the American Legion. He was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers #461. His passion was his family, especially his mother, he lived for his mother. Bob was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Bryington Jarrett, who died September 13, 1996; son, Randy Jarrett; brother, Jim Jarrett; and sister, Rachel Jackson.

Louise Adams May 15, 1932 - December 19, 2022
Mary Louise Dennis Adams, 90, formerly of Garner Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Mountain Vista Health Park.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, Dec 23, at Fairview United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Amy Higgins and Rev. Doug Rowe. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mary was born May 15, 1932, in Guilford County to William Howard Dennis and Sara Elizabeth Major Dennis. She had worked in the hosiery industry retiring from Thornton Hosiery Mill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Adams; grandson, Christopher Wayne Adams; brothers, Charles, and Thomas Dennis; siters, Shelby Pope and Nelda Page.

She is survived by sons, Gerald Wayne Adams, Eddie Carl Adams both of Denton, and Sammy Adams of Thomasville; brother, Richard Dennis of IN; sister-in-law, Peggy Buie of Denton; 3 grandchildren, Chad Adams, Sammie Holt, and Corey Wayne Adams; 3 great-grandchildren, Zach Dylan Holt, Cody Wayne Adams, Olivia Adams, Marley Rae Adams.

Eva "Joann" Walser Hill
Eva “Joann” Walser Hill, 83, of Lexington passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Five Oaks Rehab Center.

No formal services will be held.

Mrs. Hill was born in Davidson County on January 23, 1939, to Marshall O’Dell Walser and Sarah Rachels Walser. She worked for Duracell for many years and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lowe Hill, Sr.

Beverly Peace Snider January 10, 1966 - December 19, 2022
Beverly Peace Snider, 56, of Cedar Springs Rd., Lexington, NC passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Beverly was born in Randolph County on January 10, 1966, the daughter of James Peace and the late Faye Marion Hubbard. She attended Denton Wesleyan Church and was a teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Mark Snider, Sr. of the home; sons, Robert Mark Snider, Jr. of Lexington, Joshua Snider (Brook) of Lexington; and Jacob Michael Snider (Lindsay) of Troy; her father, James Peace of Trinity; grandson, Mason Lee Snider; and half-sister, Amanda Sellers of Trinity.
