KEEP SCROLLING FOR UP TO DATE POSTS

WHEN I WAS GROWING UP
writes, " We played outdoors; hide and seek, red rover, cowboys and indians. We all sat down at the supper table together, communicated with our elders with courtesy. Principle of our school would say a prayer over the intercom every morning. We dressed conservatively, always found something to do and never used the phrase; I'm bored. No cell phones, computers, music with filthy language, and we could go to the movies without being embarressed. If someone in hellywood spoke out against our troops or country, they were deported. Just a few years back in Lexington, there would be young street preachers standing on the corners telling folks about Christ. Church's had school buses to pick up kids for Sunday School. "

I AM A CHRISTIAN
writes, "When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than you,
"

JUST ME?
writes, "When something comes to my mind and I can't quit thinking about it, I feel like maybe the Lord wants me to share:
It's amazing how differently the Lord made us and the different burdens each one of us has been given. We all serve the same God and yet we are different on how he use's us for his Glory.
Some would look at me and think - Really? I am not what you would call orthodox or even a repeat of someone else. I am totally Independent in my Theology and believe the Bible speaks through the Holy Spirit to each one of us. I have learned so much from every Pastor the Lord has sent my way. Yes, many different denominations and many different traditions and different ways of doing the Lord's work.
The main thing is we all point towards Salvation through Jesus Christ.
"

YOU DO HAVE A VALUE
writes, "Everyone was put here with a purpose in life; some will run from it when they discover what it is, some will ignore it, some will try to argue it away, some say they have no purpose, some will not accept it because it brings themself no glory. We are all equal and God has each one of us working towards the same goal. , "The Great Commission:"

How to create a better educational system and family.
writes, "1./ Give our school system more authority. My generation grew up through the years of corporal punishment. I got the paddle several times and it was emabarrassing and uncooled my cool. Oh well, cool actually means, not so hot anyway! Make parents more accountable. And I am still here!
2./ Zero tolerence for alcohol and drugs and sex parties in all colleges. Get caught, get out. Oh yea, we must have forgot that it is for higher learning and in some ways puts the parents deeper in debt for kids that think they have an entitlement from them.
"

BLAME GAME
writes, "We live our lives making thousands of excuses for so many things, but God has heard everyone ever thought of, on Sunday morning. Sometimes stuff happens in our lives and we play the blame game, when it might be the Master saying, I want to talk to you and you to me. I Love You and I showed that Love through the sacrifice of my Son. Can you spare an hour or two?
"

NEVER FORGET!
writes, "Don't let facebook replace a relationship with family and friends. Facebook can't see the pain on your face, or the real smile, it can't count the teardrops running down your cheeks. It won't comfort you or give you that human hug that only you can feel. I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't destroyed some relationships while at the same time found some long lost friends. It's not the real world, only another form of entertainment, so don't let it give you a false sense of popularity because of the amount of friends that you might show in count. Remember, there is someone within your center of influence that needs to know they are loved. Call someone today or tomorrow and tell them you Love them. They may be needing to hear that more than you realize.
