Anne Fisher Williams October 03, 1933 - September 13, 2023
Anne Williams, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Thomasville Medical Center.



Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, September 18, 2023, at First Lutheran Church in Lexington with Pastor Matthew Miller officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00- 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery in Faith NC.



Anne was born October 3, 1933 in Alamance, NC, to Herman and Ruby Lowder Fisher. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and worked for the Thomasville Police department.



Left to cherish her memories are her son, Chip Scott, of Lexington, NC, her daughters; Bleasha Carroll, husband Joe, of Lexington, NC, Leasa Carpenter, husband Al, of Thomasville, and Dawn Mushrush, husband, Carl, of Georgia, her brother, John Fisher, wife Linda, of Lexington, SC, 8 grandchildren; Ashley Barr, husband Aaron, Adam Carroll, wife Rachel, Wesley Scott, wife Holly, Eric Carroll, wife Ashley, Daniel Mushrush, Aimee Marva, husband Tyler, Christian Carpenter, and Brandon Scott, and eleven great-grandchildren; Ben Barr, Owen Barr, Koontz Carroll, Myra Grace Carroll, Peyton Scott, Audrey Scott, Samantha Scott, Raegan Scott, Elijah Scott, Violet Ann Marie Scott, and Madi Jo Marva.

Auston Smith Reudelhuber March 04, 1991 - September 09, 2023
Auston Smith Reudelhuber, 32, of Lexington Passed away September 9, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.



A celebration of Auston's life will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Rich Fork Baptist Church where he attended. A burial will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will see friends on Monday from 3-8 pm at Wella Farm 368 Weldon Smith Rd., Lexington, NC 27295.



Auston was born March 4, 1991, in Davidson County, to George Keyes Reudelhuber and Lesia Smith Reudelhuber. Auston was a member of Reeds Baptist Church. He was a veteran having served in the US Army and actively in the Army National Guard, was a Deputy Sheriff II with the Forsyth County Sheriff Department. His passion was his faith, church, family, especially his two girls. Auston was a loving husband, father, brother, and nephew, who will be missed by all.



Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Rachel Chrissley Reudelhuber of the home, his daughters, Addie and Raelyn Reudelhuber of the home, his parents of Lexington, brother, Spencer Reudelhuber and wife Melissa, and their children; Sidney and Zane Sheets, all of Lexington. Also surviving are special aunts, uncles and cousins and his Brothers in Arms.

Estelle Smyly McKinney November 19, 1924 - September 12, 2023
Ada Estelle Smyly McKinney, 98, passed away September 12, 2023 at Brighton Gardens in Winston-Salem.



A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, September 23, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Lexington with Rev. Dr. Ray Howell III. A burial will follow in the Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family will visit with friends following the memorial service.



Ada was born November 19, 1924, in Alabama, to Judson and Ada Garrison Smyly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Harmon McKinney, along with her sister-in-law, Mary Boyd Hines and brother–in-law Tom Hines.



Left to cherish his memories is her son, Charles Douglas McKinney, grandson, Charles Michael McKinney, and brother, Doug and his wife, Janet Smyly

Nancy Haynes Blackburn May 10, 1930 - September 11, 2023
Nancy Haynes Blackburn went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday evening September 11, 2023.

Nancy was born on May 10, 1930 in Erlanger, NC along with her twin sister, Nell Haynes Sharpe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Carl and Irma Lee Money Haynes. Also preceding her in death was her spouse, of 59 1/2 years, Marvin Jackson Blackburn Jr., her brothers; Marvin Hanes, Bryce Haynes, and Donald Haynes, as well as her sister, Edna Haynes Honeycutt.

The service will be held at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Johnson Gupton officiating. Visitation will begin two hours before the service.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Angela Dewbrew and husband, George of Lexington, son, Carl Blackburn of Ellicot City, MD, and daughter, Pam Butler and husband Todd, of Leland NC, one grandchild Enya Lee Butler of Leland, NC, as well as her precious loving twin sister, Nell Haynes, Sharpe of Cleveland, TN, two sisters-in-law, Nancy Haynes of Cummings, GA and Jackie Haynes of Bradenton, FL, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great - great nieces and nephews.

Nancy graduated in 1958 from Winston Salem School of Nursing at the top of her class. She began her nursing career working at Lexington Memorial Hospital, then in the office of Dr. Bill Bingham in Lexington, and later as an industrial nurse for Burlington Furniture and Lexington Furniture Industries. She enjoyed each area of nursing in which she worked.

Nancy love to crochet and enjoyed the craft up until her passing. She was an excellent seamstress and over the years enjoyed decoupaging and painting. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington.

William Harvey Fulbright May 21, 1946 - September 11, 2023
William Harvey Fulbright, 77, of Lexington, passed away September 11, 2023, at his home in Lexington.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am Friday September 15, at First Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. Ray Howell III officiating, and burial will follow in the Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Mr. Fulbright was born May 21, 1946, in Gaston County, to William Henry Fulbright and Mary Sue Roberts Fulbright. His passion was his faith, church, family and especially his grandchildren. Harvey was a member of the Lexington Memorial Lodge 473, where he had served as Past Master and Past Treasurer, and the Lexington Shrine Club. Harvey was also committed to his community, as a former business owner and serving in the Lexington Police and Davidson County Sheriff’s Departments. A standout athlete, he also coached and mentored many young men as a little league and high school football coach.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Barbara ­­­­Hurst Fulbright of the home, son, William Harvey Fulbright Jr., and wife Cindy of Lexington, daughter, Tracy Love and husband Adam of Morganton NC, step-son, Scott David Reverts and wife Katherine of Oak Ridge, Step-daughters, Chris Luck of Thomasville, Lindsey Hawks and husband Alan of Lexington, grandchildren, Harrison, Ethan, and Ava Leigh Fulbright all of Lexington, brother Eric Fulbright and wife Jackie of Lexington.

Robert
Robert “Bobby” Craven, Jr. of Denton, passed away last week after a hard fought 2-year illness.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Denton, with Pastor Jason Grubb officiating. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service.

Bobby was born in Randolph County to Bob and Polly Craven. He was a graduate of Denton High School and UNC Charlotte. He had a long career in the furniture manufacturing industry and more recently at Furnitureland South, where he worked for more than 20 years. Prior to his career in furniture, he was the previous owner/operator of Denton Florist. In addition to his career, he spent many years as a Little League Baseball coach, was an amateur photographer, and avid music enthusiast, and lover of dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Karen Craven

Lloyd Franklin Green November 16, 1929 - September 11, 2023
Lloyd Franklin Green, 93, of Davidson County, passed away at his home, on Monday, September 11, 2023.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jeff Walser officiating, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Lloyd was born on November 16, 1929, in Walton County, GA, to the late Seaborn Leo Green and Leilea Leola Alexander Green. He worked for many years and retired from Wellington Hall as a cabinet maker and attended United Church of Christ. Lloyd enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden and his tractor was his pride and joy. He loved to watch wrestling and racing on television and took any chance he had to work on a car, whether or not it needed fixing.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Floyd Green; a granddaughter, Stephania Myers; a brother, Hubert Green; and sisters, Martha Gibson, Helen Beal, and Polly Canup.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 77 years, Mary Harrison Green, of the home; his daughters, Mary Myers (Greg), of Lexington, Betty Kincaid (Toney), of Lexington, and Dorothy Walser, of Lexington; brother, Paul Wayne Green Sr. (Judy), of GA; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren with one on the way.
