Nellie Cuzilda Evans October 18, 1932 - April 10, 2022
NELLIE'S OBITUARY
Nellie Evans age 89 of Longview Street died Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Lexington Hospital.



A grave side service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Arrington Heights Cemetery.



Nellie was born in Davidson County, October 18, 1932, to Roy Crawford Snyder and Zenna Hice Snyder. She was a member of Wayside Baptist and retired from Coke Bottle Company. Nellie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest D. Evans, son Roy Evans, brother Elbert Snyder.



Surviving are sister Rachel Peele, 2 grandchildren, Johnathan Evans (Brenda), Rebecca Sinnott (Dennis) of Lexington, 2 great grandchildren Dylan Sinnott of Charlotte, NC and Colton Smith of Bettendorf, Iowa.

Velma Richardson Hepler April 19, 1946 - April 9, 2022
Velma Margaret Richardson Hepler, 75, of Central Heights, passed away Saturday April 9, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.



A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Friday April 15, 2022 at Spruce Street Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Coats officiating services.



The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Friday at the Church and at other times at the home of her son on Warf Road.



Mrs. Hepler was born April 19, 1946 in Carter County Tennessee to Opal Bliss Richardson and Harriet Jeanette Stout Miller. Velma enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and she loved babies and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jim Richardson, Barney Richardson, Duke Richardson, Russ Richardson and Durant Richardson; and two sisters, Patsy Richardson and Debbie.



Surviving are her three sons, Ted Hepler, (Judy), Jerry Hepler (Kunthara) and Willy Hepler, all of Lexington; her daughter, Christi Cannon of Lexington; three sisters, Harriet Tysinger (Larry), Sue Edwards (David) and Ann Benson, all of Lexington; 7 grandchildren, Joseph, Andrea, Heather, Tela, Tyler, Zeb, and Timothy; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Carsen, Michael, Max, Zander, Dawson and Raylee; and special family members Alex and Baleigh.

Larry Wayne Harrison Sr. November 11, 1949 - April 8, 2022
Larry Wayne Harrison Sr., 72, of Loftin Rd., Denton, passed away April 8, 2022, at Thomasville Medical Center.



A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ, where he was a member, with the Rev. David Crook officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary following the service.



Mr. Harrison was born November 11, 1949, in Davidson County, to Wayne Jessie Harrison and Willa Mae Smith Harrison. Was a retired truck driver. He loved to go fishing and playing golf when he was able, loved to go the beach or the lake as long as it was water. Larry Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his dog, Rusty.



Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Debbie Cheek, of the home, his son, Larry Wayne Harrison Jr., of Lexington; two stepsons, Alex Hilton of West Virginia, and Zach Hilton of Greensboro; one stepdaughter. Ashley Roberts and husband Andrew, of West Virginia; his sister, Lynda Charles, and husband Wayne of Lexington; grandchildren, Hailey Smith, Breanna Harris, and Landon Harrison. Also surviving is his best friend, Buddy.

Destinee Jordan Reinhold July 20, 1995 - April 07, 2022
Destinee Jordan Reinhold, 26, passed away Thursday April 7, 2022.



A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday April 12, 2022 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Rev. David Langley officiating services.



The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home.



Destinee was born July 20, 1995 in Ontario Canada to Donald Raymond Reinhold and Monika Hildegard Quattlaender Miller. Destinee loved horses, and was preceded in death by a brother, Andy Miller.



Surviving are her parents; her step-father, Michael Andrew Miller Sr.; her brother Joshua Miller (Maisie) of Lexington, and two sisters, Ashley Nuhaj (Rahim) of Maine and Lindsey Wagoner (Seth) of Raeford North Carolina; also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins from all sides of her family.

Linda Darlene Cross July 23, 1946 - April 08, 2022
Linda Darlene Hunsucker Cross, 75, of Lexington, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 8, 2022.



A memorial service will be held 6 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Becker officiating.



The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.



Mrs. Cross was born July 23, 1946, in Guilford County to William Horace Hunsucker and Jacqueline Owen Hunsucker. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Phillip Jr.



Surviving is her husband, Richard Dale Cross of the home; two sons, Alan Cross (Lisa) of Asheboro and Phillip Lee Cross (Sheryl) of Thomasville; one daughter, Melissa Lambert (Jeff) of Lexington; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Marilyn Hornbeck Gambrell February 21, 1932 - April 07, 2022
Marilyn Hornbeck Gambrell, 90, passed away peacefully at the Hinkle Hospice House on April 7, 2022. She was born February 21, 1932, in Michigan to Millard and Gladys Weaver Hornbeck. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Cleveland Gambrell and daughter, Gail Lynn Gambrell



Marilyn leaves behind 2 children, David (Carole) Gambrell and Nancy (Gerry) Sullivan both of Lexington; her grandchildren, William (Sarah Kathryn), Phillip (girlfriend Katelyn), Caroline and her great-granddaughter, Coley were the love of her life, as well as her cat Tommy.



Marilyn worked for the Lexington City School System for many years, after her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid sports fan. She especially loved to watch the Panthers and the Tarheels.

Betty Lou Watkins Edwards, 83, of Moses Glover Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Friday, April 08, 2022 at her residence.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Freddie Moretz. The family will greet friends from 1:30 until 2:00 at the church.

Betty was born in Davidson County, NC on March 25, 1939 to Albert Watkins and Eva Metcalf Watkins. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In addition to her patents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Edwards; a son, Nicky Brown; brothers, John, Floyd, and Bobby Watkins; sisters, Pearl Metcalf, Mildred Bivens, Marie Huffman, Rebecca Hughes, Pamela Watkins.

She is survived by daughters, Donna Brown of Lexington and Betty Whitt of Denton, son, Tony Combs of Denton; 7 grandchildren, Darla Leonard (James), Crissy Loflin (Scott), Tina Bivens, T.J. Combs, Jackson Parks, Jilliam Parks, and Jaden Parks; 5 great-grandchildren, Grayce Loflin, Aaron Loflin, Jesse Loflin, Payton Leonard, and Xander Leonard; 1 great-great-grandchild, Savannah Helms; and a special niece, Ann Thompson (Jimmy).
