Janice (Jan) Lynn Norton age 66 of Winston Salem passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. A celebration of life will be 3:00 pm Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel conducted by Pastor Gary Sebastian. The family will see friends following the celebration of life.

Jan was born June 28, 1955, in Buncombe County to Harold Edwin Norton and Eula Mae Capps Norton. She retired from Piedmont Tower. Her parents preceded her in death. Her favorite past time was looking for 4 leaf clovers and could always find several.

Martha Grace Mills Medlin January 21, 1938 - April 25, 2022
Martha Grace Mills Medlin, 84, of Lexington, passed away April 25, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.



A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Friday April 29, 2022, at Second Reformed United Church of Christ, where she was a member, with the Rev. Jim Luck officiating. The family will see friends in the church parlor from 10:00 until 11:00 before the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.



Mrs. Medlin was born January 21, 1938, in Davidson County, to James Logan Mills and Lillian Liza Weaver Mills White. Martha was a devoted member of the church, was retired from AT & T with 25 years of service as a quality control inspector. Her passion was her faith, church, family and especially her grandchildren. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friends, who will be missed by all. She was a member of the Lydia Circle at church, the Telephone Pioneer Club and was involved with Pastor’s Pantry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Mills.

Carl Matthew Harmon Jr. February 16, 1924 - April 26, 2022
Carl Matthew Harmon Jr. age 98 of Clemmons, NC passed away early Tuesday morning April 26, 2022. A graveside service will be 2:00 at Westlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Pastor Lomax Skinner The family will see friends from 12:30 -1:30 pm at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.

Mr. Harmon was born February 16, 1924, in Lansdale, PA to Carl Matthew Harmon Sr. and Virginia Bennett Harmon. He retired from AT&T and honorably served his country in The US Navy during WWII. His wife, Marie Cates Harmon, sons, Richard and Roger Harmon and a daughter, Rhonda Harmon all preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Sam Harmon and a sister, Pauline Bongart.

MeEtta Holt Biesecker July 30, 1938 - April 23, 2022
MeEtta Biesecker age 83 died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at her home with family by her side.



A graveside, celebration of life will be held, Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Family will receive friends after the service in the cemetery.



MeEtta was born July 30, 1938, in Davidson County to J. D. Holt and Pearl Williams Holt. She retired from Lexington Memorial Hospital after 50 years of service and was a member of 2nd Reform Church. MeEtta is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ed Holt, aunt Ruby Williams, nephews Scott Holt, Scott Biesecker.

Benjamin Matthew Haynes October 12, 1985 - April 22, 2022
Benjamin Matthew “Matt” Haynes, 36, of Wafford Circle, died Friday, April 22, at Hinkle Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 4pm Monday, April 25 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Matt was born October 12, 1985, in Davidson County to Jonathan David Haynes and Tamara Worley Haynes. He was a butcher at Conrad-Hinkle Supermarket, but most importantly, he was “Dad” to his children. He was a member of Floyd Baptist Church. His grandfather, Jon Haynes; his grandmother, Judy Floyd Worley, and his uncle, Nathan Grey Haynes, preceded him in death.

Mary Elizabeth Niner October 29, 1960 - April 21, 2022
Mary Elizabeth Hartman Niner, 61, of Lexington finally won her courageous battle with cancer when she went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the Hinkle Hospice House.



A funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with the Rev. Cheryl Skinner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Church Parlor. Mary loved colors and request that you wear color instead of black to her service.



A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, PA.



Mrs. Niner was born in Harrisburg, PA on October 29, 1960, to Carl Eugene and Mary Louise Hartman. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, was active in the United Methodist Women, the altar guild, the faith seekers, and the children’s ministries. Mrs. Niner also volunteered at Westchester Country Day School for ten years in the library and was a member of the sorosis book club. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Siders.

Stephen Ralph Saddler August 22, 1949 - April 20, 2022
Stephen Ralph Saddler, 72, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at his home.



A Graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Pastor David Wooten officiating.



The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.



Mr. Saddler was born in Mercer County, WV on August 22, 1949, to Ralph Carl Saddler and Elizabeth Miller Saddler. He was a former truck driver for Waste Management and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Lexington. Mr. Saddler proudly served his country in the US Army in Vietnam and Korea and was a member of American Legion, Post 8. Mr. Saddler was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Campbell and Virginia Wiley.
