Robert Anderson (Robby) Cole, age 64 of Lick Creek Church Road, Denton, NC died Saturday.



A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 31 at Lick Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.



Mr. Cole was born February 18, 1958 in Davidson County to Paul Allen Cole, Sr. and Pauline Grubb Cole. He was a member of Lick Creek Baptist Church and self employed as owner of Robco Land Care.



He is survived by a brother, Paul Allen Cole, Jr. and wife Jan of Denton; a nephew Paul Cole and wife Kassi of Denton; great nieces, Savannah Cole and Kendall Cole; special friend Betty Freeman and his dog, “Lady”.

Ronda Kay Wyatt December 17, 1957 - May 29, 2022
Ronda Kay Knopf Wyatt, 64, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at her home.



A memorial service will be held at a later date.



Mrs. Wyatt was born December 17, 1957, in Topeka, Kansas, to Karl Richard Knopf and Wilma Barnes Knopf. She was a devout Christian and regularly attended Journey Church in Lexington. Ronda never knew a stranger and always had a way of making everyone around her feel special and loved. In her free time, she greatly enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father.



Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Rick Wyatt of the home; three sons, Jacob Knopf of Lexington, Marty Wyatt (Chelsea) of Kannapolis, and Tyler Wyatt (Chelsea) of Kannapolis; one daughter, Angie Sink (Justin) of Landis; her mother, Wilma Barnes Knopf; two sisters, Terri Kidd (Todd) of Salisbury, and Michele Smith (Jerry) of Linwood; and five grandchildren, Emma Knopf, Jackson Knopf, Maverick Sink, Kinlee Sink, and Briggs Wyatt.

Corrine Briggs Burris June 05, 1934 - May 28, 2022
Betty Corrine Briggs Burris age 87 passed away Saturday May 28, 2022, at Brookdale of Asheboro. A Graveside service will be 6 pm Thursday at Becks Reformed Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Chris Johnson. Burial will follow in Becks Reformed Cemetery. The family will host a reception at Becks Lutheran Church following the graveside service.

Mrs. Burris was born June 5 th 1934, in Caswell County to Early Briggs and Odeal Chandler Briggs. Her husband, Jimmy Martin Burris preceded her in death. She was a retired teacher’s assistant with Davis Townsend School.

Lester Quilman Sain, 95, of W. Center Street Ext., passed away Friday May 27, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday May 30, 2022, at Paul’s Chapel Evangelical and Reformed Church with Rev. Aaron Long officiating services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military graveside rites.

Mr. Sain was born on October 8, 1926, in Davie County to John Walter Sain and Julia Mae Allen Sain. Lester was employed with Parkdale Mills, a United States Army Veteran and a member of Lexington VFW Post 4073. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ovaline Myers Sain; three brothers, four sisters and a special nephew, Leonard Myers.

Barbara Sink Wilson November 16, 1955 - May 22, 2022
Barbara Sink Wilson of Winston Salem passed away Sunday May 22, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Her family celebrated her life privately.

Mrs. Wilson was born November 16, 1955, in Davidson County to the late Ralph Grayson Sink and Evelyn Hill Sink. She retired from Novant Health.

Surviving are her loving husband of 48 years, Donald Wilson of the home. A son, Chris Wilson and his wife Janice of Clemmons and a daughter, Kimberly Greene and her husband Darby of Clemmons. Also surviving are three precious grandchildren, Jacob, Blake, and Lily.

Peggy Irene Bates February 09, 1942 - May 27, 2022
Peggy Irene Temple Bates, 80, of Lexington, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at Lexington Medical Center.



A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.



Mrs. Bates was born February 9, 1942, in Davidson County to Jack Cinco Temple Jr. and Ruby Hicks Temple. She loved spending time with her family whenever she got the chance and was lovingly called a ‘fighter’ because of her ever-present feisty spirit. In her free time, Peggy also enjoyed working in the yard and watching westerns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Paige Bates Sr.; five brothers; four sisters; two grandsons, Darrell Everhart, and Brandon Rush; and one great-granddaughter, Brielle Kennedy.

Audrey Jean Hedrick Winebarger January 20, 1931 - May 27, 2022
Audrey Jean Hedrick Winebarger, 91, of Lexington, passed away May 27, 2022, at Lexington Health Care in Lexington.



A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ Church where she was a member, with the Revs. David Crook and William Sowers officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 pm in the church fellowship hall, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Other times at the home of her son on Allred Rd., Lexington.



Mrs. Winebarger was born January 20, 1931, in Davidson County, to Fred Austin Hedrick and Ella Veigh Young Hedrick, Audrey was a devoted member of the church. Audrey loved to work in her yard and attend to her flowers, making quilts and cooking sweets for everyone. Her passion was her faith, church family and especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren. Audrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Evans Blane Winebarger who died February 28, 1948, son, Randy Winebarger, brothers, Bobby Ray Hedrick, Bryce Hedrick, and sisters, Willa Veigh Winebarger, and infant sister
