Brenda Brogdon November 27, 1957 - June 22, 2023
Brenda Hopkins Brogdon, 65, of Davidson County, went to be with her lord and savior on June 22, 2023.

She was born on November 27, 1957, in Stuart, Virginia to the late Earley Rufus Hopkins, Jr., and his wife, Dottie Puckett Hopkins. She was a manager at CJ’s Deli. She is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Hopkins.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Robert Bruce Brogdon of the home, her mother, Dottie Puckett Hopkins of Lexington, three sons, Brian Shane Hopkins, Robert Scott Brogdon (Linnley), Johnnie Keith Brogdon, all of Lexington, a brother William Hopkins (Michelle) of Lexington and two sisters, Cheryl Dull (Rick) of Ocean Isle Beach and Carolyn Brockman (Jerry) of Lexington.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Anna Brogdon-Boyles (Craig), Abby Brogdon, Cole Brogdon, Christopher Brogdon, Cayla Sweet, Jasmine Greenwood (Mason), Cameron Wheeler, Christian Wheeler, numerous nieces, and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Davidson County and Cancer Services of Davidson County for all of their care and support.

Wilma Snow Turner January 06, 1951 - June 21, 2023
Wilma Snow Turner, 72, of Davidson County, went to be with her lord and savior on June 21, 2023.

She was born on January 6, 1951, in Forsyth County, North Carolina to the late Ernest Snow and Dobey Swain Snow. She was a yearbook organizer for Josten’s Publishing Company before retiring. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Melissa Turner, and two sisters, Hilda Gay Snow and Sylvia Snow Talbert.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Henry Randolph Turner, of the home.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, June 26, 2023, between 6 pm and 7 pm at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel and a graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

Jack Billy Marble March 07, 1929 - June 21, 2023
Jack Billy Marble, 94, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023. Jack was born in Jacksonville, Alabama, on March 7, 1929, to the late Ferdie Marble and Maudie Holden Marble.



Jack was known to many through his work in the bar-b-que restaurant business owning the Bar-B-Que Center in Winston Salem from 1968 to 1978. After retirement, he enjoyed farming. He was a Master Mason for 72 years, with the Lexington Memorial Lodge 473, a member of the Winston Salem Scottish Rites, Oasis Shrine in Charlotte, and the Lexington Shrine Club. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. He loved spending time in Florida during February where he made many friends playing shuffleboard and sitting on the boardwalk watching the sunset. Jack never met a stranger and treated everyone like family. He also loved traveling in both the US and Europe.



Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Lula Mae Marble, sister, Florence Marble Latham, brother, Charles Marble.



Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Kaye Marble Linville (Gary) his son, Jackie Marble (Lisa), three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren all of Lexington.

Bennie Dennis September 13, 1957 - June 21, 2023
Bennie (BJ) Richard Dennis, Jr. passed away to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 with his wife by his side.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 310 S. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292, Rev. Renee Easter officiating. Family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.

BJ was born September 13, 1957 to Kathleen Koontz and Bennie R. Dennis, Sr., in Salisbury, NC. He was retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation/Halyard Health after 34 years of employment.

Preceding BJ in death were his mother Kathleen K. Dennis and father-in-law Charlie Leonard.

BJ is survived by his wife Rose Leonard Dennis, father Bennie R. Dennis, Sr., sister Kathy D. Blanchard (Chris), mother-in-law Vera Leonard, brother-in-law Chip Leonard, nephews Zeb Leonard, Noah Blanchard, Gavin Blanchard, niece Lydia Leonard, and also a close family friend, Wanda Whitlow.

Brenda Eaton Johnson April 23, 1945 - June 21, 2023
Brenda Sue Eaton Johnson, 78, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday June 21, 2023 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.



Mrs. Johnson was born April 23, 1945 in Guilford County to John Eaton and Sue Eaton. Brenda enjoyed doing yard work and was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth Wayne Johnson.

Carolyn Vestal June 09, 1937 - June 21, 2023
Carolyn Elizabeth York Vestal, 86, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at her home.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 26, 2023, at Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.

The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Vestal was born June 9, 1937, in Surry County, to Mr. Andrew York and Mrs. Nora York. She was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Vestal; two brothers, Johnny York, and Harry York; and one sister, Lucy York Bryant.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ralph Vestal (Jackie) of Lexington and Darryl Vestal (Donielle) of Yadkinville; six grandchildren, David Vestal, Tabitha Price (Brian), Matthew Vestal, Katherine Vestal, Jamie Vestal, and Nathan Vestal; and two great-grandchildren, Vincent Suits and Bella Price.

Christopher Harbaugh November 29, 1967 - June 19, 2023
Christopher Wayne Harbaugh, 55, of W. Salisbury St., Denton, NC and formerly of Texas passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, at his residence.

Christopher was born in Covington, VA on November 29, 1967, the son of Dale Allen Harbaugh and Geneva Ann Patton. He was a veteran of the United States Maires and worked in construction. Some of his favorite things to do included watching birds, watching movies, flowers, drawing and painting, and singing. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Allen Harbaugh and his son, Michael Harbaugh.

He is survived by his mother, Geneva Ann Patton; sister, Wendy French; nephews, Brandon Harbaugh, Ryan Ashley, and Wyatt Short; and his beloved German Shepherds, Leise and Mia.
