Dollie Scott Kiger November 6, 1936 — December 25, 2025 Clemmons
Dollie Scott Kiger, 89, passed away, Christmas Day, 2025 at her home.

A graveside services will be held, 11:00 AM, Tuesday December 30, at Reed’s Methodist Church cemetery, with Rev. Ray Morgan officiating.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM at Davidson Funeral Home.

Dollie was born November 6, 1936, in Davidson County, to Elcer Lee and Claudia Everhart Scott. She retired from Duracell and was a member of Reed’s Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Bobby Ray Kiger, and her son, Jeffrey Perrell.

Carolyn Briggs March 2, 1938 — December 23, 2025
Carolyn Elizabeth Ross Briggs, 87, a resident of The Pines at Davidson, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025.

Carolyn was born on March 2, 1938, in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, to Willie M. Ross, Sr. and Elizabeth Shuler Ross. She spent her childhood in Cary, North Carolina, where her love of learning and music took root. A talented pianist, she was also named valedictorian of her high school class—early signs of the intellect, discipline, and curiosity that would define her life.

She studied education and home economics, earning her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the Women’s College of the University of North Carolina (now UNC Greensboro) and her master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. Carolyn dedicated her professional life to teaching and mentoring young people. She began her career at Lexington High School, later taught special needs children in Denton, Texas, for nine years, and then returned to North Carolina, where she spent the next several decades teaching math, science, and social studies at Central Davidson Junior High School (later renamed Central Middle School). Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, shaping generations of students through patience, rigor, and care.

Viktori Marko Koci August 22, 1936 — December 24, 2025 Lexington
Viktori Marko Koci, 89, of Tyro Road in Lexington, passed away Wednesday December 24, 2025.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday December 26, 2025 at Davidson Funeral Home with Minos Tsambouniereris officiating services. Burial will follow at the Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11am Friday prior to the service.

Mrs. Koci was born August 22, 1936 in Albania to Alex Marko and Sofia Lito Marko. Viktori enjoyed gardening, sewing and taking walks outside. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Perikli Koci.

Randall Frank July 31, 1949 — December 21, 2025 Denton
Randall Dale Frank, 76, of Rocky Cove Lane, Denton, NC passed away on Sunday December 21, 2025, at his home.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday December 30, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Lexington with Dr. Larry Phillips and Dr. Ray Howell officiating the service. Following the service, there will be a committal service at Forrest Hill Memorial Park.

Prior to the funeral service, the Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm in the church fellowship hall at First Baptist Church.

Dale was born July 31, 1949, in Davidson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randall Frank and Dorothy Parker Lanier.

Harriett Sides April 22, 1942 — December 24, 2025 Lexington
Harriett Hartley Sides, 83, of Welcome passed away peacefully in the Hospice House of Davidson County on December 24th.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 29, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Welcome with Pastor Jonathan Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 pm until 6 pm on Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

She was born on April 22, 1942, to her loving parents Harry and Sarah Hartley, also of Welcome. Harriett attended Welcome Elementary School and North Davidson High School where she graduated before entering Meredith College and earning a double major in Religion and Education. She eventually returned to school at Appalachian State University where she earned her Master of Education degree in 1986. Jesus, her family and education were her passions, and she devoted her life to all three.

Charles Lindsay Long April 10, 1941 — December 20, 2025 Advance
Charles Lindsay Long, 84, of Davie County, passed away Saturday evening, December 20, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House.

There will be a graveside service at Sandy Creek on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Charles was born on April 10, 1941, in Davie County, to the late Charles Gwynn Long and Fannie Ada Grubb Long. He retired from Billings as a mechanic but is remembered for having a natural talent at any job he worked. A “Jack of all Trades”, Charles was always ready for the next challenge to learn a new skill, whether it was woodworking, electrical, construction, or roofing.
