| Rebecca Sue Parrish, 77, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, in Lexington, North Carolina. |
Born on August 29, 1948, in Lexington, Sue was the daughter of Lizzie and Joe Hearn, Sr. both of whom preceded her in death. She was the sister of Joe Hearn, Jr. of Lexington and Bill Hearn of Winston-Salem.
Sue was a devoted wife to Watts Parrish for 56 years and a beautiful, loving mother to her daughter Kathy Parrish Nelson (Bryce) of Richmond, Virginia and son Bryan Parrish (Ashley) of Burlington, North Carolina. She is also survived by sister-in-law Bonnie Parrish Weldon and her husband Cled Weldon of Boca Raton, Florida.
She found immense joy in being ‘SuSu’ to her grandchildren Rebecca Nelson, Reed Nelson and Owen Parrish. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Time with her family was what she valued most.
A woman of deep faith, Sue was an active member of Tyro Methodist Church. Her presence there was marked by kindness and dedication, reflecting the caring spirit that defined her life. During her over 30 years of membership, she used her talents to beautify the church and glorify God.

Mrs. Betty Jean Warden Blackburn, age 96, of Mullinix Road, Troy, N.C. passed away On January 2, 2026 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton, N.C.
A service for Mrs. Blackburn will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Winston-Salem with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery.
A visitation will be held prior to the service at Gospel Light Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Blackburn was born in Wilmington, N.C. on January 17, 1929 to Harvey Warden and Viola Taylor Warden. She worked for AT&T Telephone Company and was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Blackburn and sister Gail Miller.

Terry Mitchell Watts, 76, from Churchland NC, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones on January 1st, 2026.
Terry was born on October 3rd, 1949, in Murphy, NC to Venson Burton Watts and Mattie Laney Watts, who proceed him in death, along with his 2 brothers Johnny Watts and Milton Watts and sister Judith Watts Hall.
His surviving family include his wife of 51 years, Kathy Talbert Watts, his son Christopher Daniel Watts, his baby girl, precious Punkin, all of the home and his daughter Tania Watts Byerly, son in law Teo Byerly, Teo’s kids Cody and Cory Byerly, his sisters Nancy Watts and Mitzi Watts Tysinger(Cecil) brother Tim Watts, sister in law Debbie Talbert and many nieces and nephews.

Carole Lemon, 94, of Davidson County passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at Forsyth Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Presbyterian, 200 Cotton Grove Road in Lexington, NC. Visitation will follow the service.
Carole was born on June 24, 1931 in Davidson County to the late James Rosco Biesecker and Willie Veigh Walton Biesecker. Upon completing Ashmore Business College, she worked for over 35 years in the Accounting Department for Dixie Furniture.
Carole had a love for taking care of animals. Her faithful cat Buddy served as her companion for many years. Alongside her husband Harry, she enjoyed timeshares in Myrtle Beach and Florida, and trips to Gatlinburg to watch their annual Christmas parade. She also spent time at their cabin in Bear Paw Landing on Lake Hiwassee. Her favorite past-time was watching sports. She was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Carolina Tar Heels.

Josephine Pruitt Trammell, 87, of Davidson County, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Pine Ridge in Thomasville.
Service details will be published once available.
The family are receiving guests for fellowship at the home of Josephine's daughter, Tina Koonts.
Josephine was born on February 26, 1938, in Pennsylvania County, VA, to the late Robert Lee Pruitt and Essie Jane Reynolds Pruitt. She worked for many years until her retirement from Duracell.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and listening to gospel music. Her greatest joy was her family, and she relished the time spent with her grandchildren, whether it was for the holidays, family dinners, or just random get-togethers.

| Lee Reed Kilpatrick, 76, passed away Tuesday December 30, 2025, at his home in Linwood. |
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday January 3, 2026, at Cross Point Church of Lexington with Rev. Michael Greer officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday at the church.
Mr. Kilpatrick was born January 11, 1949, in Buncombe County North Carolina to Troy Lee Kilpatrick and Virginia Mae Woodby Grosskopf. Lee enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, boating and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Sylvia Ann Kilpatick and his second wife Teadye Sue Howell Kilpatrick and a sister, Phylis Cross.

Alice ‘Pat’ Rose Swing Fritts, 85, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025 at Brookdale of Lexington.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, January 2 at Beck’s Reformed Church, by the Rev. Roland Slater and Rev. Dr. Steve Disher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am Friday at Beck’s Reformed Church prior to the service.
Pat was born on July 18, 1940, in Lexington, NC to Robert Clarence ‘Tom’ Swing and Rosebud Kepley Swing. She retired from Lexington Furniture and was a faithful and devoted lifetime member of Beck’s Reformed Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Donald Fritts; her parents Clarence and Rosebud Swing; her brother Charles Henderson Swing and sister-in-law Martha Younts Swing.
