Eduardo Julio Sanchez, 86, of West End, NC passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his residence. Born on July 12, 1939, in Bogota, Columbia he was the son of Julio Sanchez and Beatrize Sanchez de Sanchez.
Arrangements for a service to celebrate Eduardo's life will be forthcoming.
Mr. Sanchez received his Bachelor of Business Administration and had worked as an Accountant. He had been very active in his church, Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church.

Mary Elizabeth Harrison Green, 95, of Martin Ave, in Lexington passed away Friday November 14, 2025 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday November 20, 2025 Spiritual Counselor Chris Ehrlich officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Green was born March 21, 1930 in Morgan County Georgia to John Webb Harrison and Leila Estella Harper Harrison. Mary was a member of Christ United Church of Christ and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing and crafts. Preceded in death was her parents, her stepfather Marvin Colston, her husband of 77 years, Lloyd Green, her son Floyd Lee Green, six brothers, J.W. Harrison, Lawrence Harrison, James “Bud” Lee Harrison, Roy Vernon Harrison, Thomas Leonard Harrison, and James Marvin Colston Jr., a sister, Ruby Leila Russell, a granddaughter Stephania Lynn Myerrs, and a son-in-law Ronnie Walser.

Clayton Eugene Swicegood, 96, of Lexington, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at his home.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Church of Lexington with Rev. John Craig, Rev. Sandy Young and Rev. Judge Jimmy Myers officiating the service with interment to follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
Mr. Swicegood was born in Davidson County to the late Zula Elizabeth Swicegood Grubb and he was preceded in death by his wife and sweetheart of 68 years, Pegge.

James Louis Schipper, of Forsyth County, passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2025. Born to the late Junior Schipper and Lucille Kates Schipper, James was a simple, kind-hearted man who found joy in the things he loved most—good music, good company, and the familiar comforts of home. He had a lifelong admiration for Alan Jackson and Elvis Presley, and he held a special fondness for the western lifestyle and its quiet charm. He was also known for his unwavering love of Pepsi and enjoyed spending time with people, never missing an opportunity to share a story, a laugh, or a warm conversation.
James is survived by his sister, Linda Schipper (Vernon Honeycutt); his niece, Karen Hollifield; his nephews, Dana Hollifield and Brandon Hollifield; and his cousins, Vickie Kelley, Gloria Marshall, and Butch Kelley. Each of them held a special place in his life, and he cherished the bond he shared with his family.

Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her kindness toward everyone she met.

Loretta Nance, age 85, of Roaring River, passed away on November 12, 2025.
Born on July 27, 1940, in Davidson County, Loretta was the daughter of the late Wayne and Geraldine Nance. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit and the care she extended to everyone around her. She was employed by Fairgrove Family Resource Center and a member of Ronda Baptist Tabernacle. She loved playing the piano, especially for church.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Darnell Nance; her son, Philip Nance; her brothers, Gary Nance and Spencer Nance; and her sister, Ellan Nance.
She is survived by her two grandchildren, Andrew Nance and wife Connie, and Derek Nance; her great-granddaughter, Pearl Nance; and her very special friend, Lisa Strickland, along with Lisa’s family, who held a meaningful place in Loretta’s life.

Gene Edward Perrell, 86, passed away peacefully after declining in health on Thursday, November 13th, 2025, in Davidson County. Born on June 15th, 1939, in Davidson County, Gene was the son of the late Rufus Paul Franklin Perrell and Anna Sink Perrell. He was a simple yet steadfast man whose life was marked by dedication, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family.
Gene proudly served at RJ Reynolds Tobacco for over 30 years, demonstrating a strong work ethic that defined much of his life. Alongside his career, he was also a devoted farmer who found joy and purpose in working the land. Among his greatest blessings were his family and especially his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply. His time spent with them, and with all his loved ones, brought him immense happiness.
