Staci Roxanna Moore |
Staci Roxanna Moore Moore, a lifelong native of Lexington, passed away on May 26, 2025, at Hinkle Hospice House of Lexington. Staci was born in Lexington North Carolina, on Saturday, July 2nd, 1966, to Bobby Lee Moore, Sr. and Betty June Collins Moore. Staci was deeply committed to serving her community throughout her life. She graduated from North Davidson High School in 1985 and immediately began a career of service, starting at the Welcome Fire Department. Shortly after high school, on May 4, 1985, she married Mike Moore. Staci built not only a family with her husband but also a distinguished career as a dispatcher for Davidson County Emergency Services. Staci served in many different capacities within public service with dedication.

“Well Done, My Good and Faithful Servant.” Jim Abbott passed away on May 24, 2025, at Piedmont Crossing, Thomasville. Jim was born to the late RJ and Roma Abbott and grew up in Pemberville, Ohio. He played the trombone in both the High School and college bands. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Music Education. He met the love of his life, Jodie, shortly after, and they were married for 43 years. Jim returned to school and received an associate's degree in respiratory therapy. Jim and Jodie relocated to Winston-Salem in 1989, where Jim worked as a respiratory therapist for 24 years at Baptist Hospital.

James Stacey Money Jr. passed away Sunday, May 25th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, June 2, 2025, in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Pastor Robert Hutchins officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington. The Family will receive friends from 4 pm until 6 pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Judy Mae Ball Gregory, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, May 26th, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Lexington just one day before her 82nd birthday. Judy was a beloved resident of Lexington, North Carolina, where she was known for her warmth and dedication to her family and community. Judy was born on Thursday, May 27th, 1943, in Rowan County to Winfred Eugene and Oleita Mae Hilton Ball. Judy grew up in the Lexington area and was a graduate of Pilot High School. She furthered her education at Ashemore Business College, earning an associate degree in business administration. She worked for over 40 years in her community. Judy gave 30 years of service to Coble Dairy in Lexington as an office administrator and secretary and was one of the last people to leave before Coble closed. She then worked with Lexcom in Lexington for an additional decade as a secretary. eyond her professional life, Judy was an active member of her community and had a deep-seated care for those around her. She was involved in the North Lexington Triangle Volunteer Fire Department; Lady's Auxiliary, Auxiliary Member of the Davidson County Public Safety Honor Guard and was a member of the Lexcom Telephone Pioneers. Her commitment to these organizations exemplified her dedication to service and to her husband, Roger, who was also a Telephone Pioneer and organized the Davidson County Public Safety Honor Guard.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Myra Dean Gainey, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and devoted follower of Christ, who went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at the age of 76. Myra was born on Thursday, November 4th, 1948, in North Carolina, and spent her lifetime in service and devotion, residing in Lexington, NC.
A visitation will be held at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 6-8 pm, with a funeral service to follow the next day, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 2pm, Community Baptist Church Silver Valley, where she was a devoted member, with Pastor Brian Workman officiating. Though she will be profoundly missed, her spirit endures in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.Myra dedicated 35 years of her professional life to PPG in Lexington, where she worked diligently before retiring. Her work ethic and dedication were evident not just in her career but throughout her personal life as well.

Kirby- Smith, of High Point, NC. She had 3 grandchildren, Whitney (Lee) Greene, daughter to Sharon (Tony, deceased), and Mitchell and Drew, sons to Christy (Brian). She is also survived by her 4 siblings, Kathy (Buster) Land, of Reidsville, NC; Fran (Tommy) Fretwell, of Browns Summit, NC; Billy Shipwash, of Eden, NC; and Bob (Terry) Shipwash, of Apex, NC.
