James Andre Weber, age 82, of Lexington, NC, passed away at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital - Lexington on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 23, at Davidson Funeral Home - Lexington.Born on June 4, 1942, in Marion County, Indiana, James was the son of the late Paul Sheridan Weber and Carrie Adele Edwards Weber. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963 and later worked at Duracell Battery Company as a factory worker and retired from AT&T in 1996.

David Charles Leiner |
David Charles Leiner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 82, in Lexington, NC.
David was born on March 19, 1943, in Owosso, Michigan, to Frederick Carl Leiner and Erma Leona Leiner, both of whom predeceased him. He is now reunited with his parents, his son Jeffrey Kevin Leiner, his brother Charles Leiner, and his sister Helen Button, all of whom have also preceded him in death.
During his career as a pipefitter, David was a valued employee at General Motors for 41 years. His dedication and work ethic left an indelible mark on his colleagues and the industry.

Benny David Shoaf, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 15th at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. A celebration of life service will held 11:00am Friday May 14, 2025 at Churchland Baptist Church with Rev Dr Stephen Martin, Rev Jerry Wilkes and Rev Dr Don Clement officiating.Benny was born on November 18, 1947 in Lexington, North Carolina to John David (JD) and Savannah Shoaf. During his childhood years, Benny was a member of Friendship Methodist Church. He worked for Shoaf’s Tire and Recapping for many years and was owner of B&B Septic Service. Benny was a member of the North Carolina Septic Association and Churchland Fire Department Board of Directors. Mr. Shoaf was a devoted member of Churchland Baptist Church. Benny served the Lord in many capacities, including teaching Sunday School, Church Trustee, volunteering, serving as longest lasting member of 150th Anniversary Committee, and Scout Troop 232 charter head. Benny was ordained as a deacon in 1982, serving many terms, including Chairman of Deacons. Mr. Shoaf proudly served his country in the Army Reserves.

Robert Lawrence Coykendall, age 64, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, North Carolina.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, with Pastor Doug McGee officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Born on April 29, 1961, in Galion, Ohio, Robert was the son of the late Alvin Coykendall and Bernice Osborn Coykendall. He made his living as a self-employed drywall installer and was a faithful attendee of Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents as well as several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce McDonald Coykendall of the home; his stepdaughter, Samantha Moore; and his brother, Doug Coykendall.

Wilma Walser Leonard |
Wilma Walser Leonard, 99, of Davidson County, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living, in Salisbury, NC.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Sandy Creek Cemetery.
Wilma was born on July 19, 1925, in Davidson County, to the late Albert Walser and Jessie Shoaf Walser. She spent her life as a homemaker and loved caring for her family by cooking meals that will always be remembered.She found pleasure in her flower beds and enjoyed tending to her garden in her younger years. Her love for the Lord never wavered even when she could no longer attend Sunday services at her lifelong church, St. Luke’s Lutheran.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, G. Cecil Leonard; son, Tony Leonard; brothers, Elmer Walser, Willie Gray Walser, and Archie Walser; and sisters, Louise Walser Young, Pallie Walser Mize, and Kathleen Walser Yates.
