Gary Alan Thomas |
Gary Alan Thomas, 64, of McLeansville, North Carolina, formerly of Altavista, Virginia, passed away on Friday, May 9th, at High Rock Lake after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Altavista, Virginia, Gary was a man whose love for life, music, and family touched everyone who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Ann Walthall Thomas and Clement Thomas, and his brother Barry Thomas. Gary leaves behind the love of his life, wife, Amber; his children Lorie, Nick, Clemarie, and Mark; and his cherished grandson Andrew. He is also survived by his siblings Kim Madsen (Bent), Wendy Gilliatt (Scott), and Kelly Thomas; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Gary” and will carry his memory with them always.
Gary was a dedicated employee at Piedmont Wholesale for many years, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and warm personality. His commitment to his work and the relationships he built there were a source of pride throughout his life.

Marie Tedder Casey, 98, of Davidson County, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Thomasville Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, in the funeral home chapel.Burial will follow the funeral at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.
Marie was born on March 6, 1927, in Rural Hall, to the late William Ernest Tedder and Bulah Posy Tedder. She worked for many years and retired from Hanes Hosiery. Marie was a lifelong member of Robinhood Baptist Church and was a strong Christian woman. Faith was a cornerstone of her life and she found joy in sharing her faith with others and teaching her family the values and love of Jesus Christ.

Bill Bingham |
William “Bill” Lewis Bingham Jr., age 75, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on May 6, 2025, at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Bill was born on June 28, 1949, in Lexington, North Carolina, to Evelyn Whittenton Bingham and Dr. William Lewis Bingham. He attended Lexington Senior High School and later graduated from Western Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. While at WCU, he was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity.
He faithfully served the furniture industry for over 46 years, working with United/Burlington Furniture Industries and Stanley Furniture Company as a Manufacturer’s Sales Representative. Bill was an astute, popular, and highly successful businessman, and a loyal friend to many. He especially treasured time spent with family and friends at Allatoona Yacht Club.

Jonathan Wayne Garrett, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025. Born on Sunday, February 16th, 1969, in High Point, North Carolina, Jonathan lived a life full of kindness, dedication, and skill.
Jonathan was known for his passion and expertise as an auto mechanic, a career he pursued with unwavering commitment and skill. Those who knew him will remember his willingness to help, his quick wit, and his love for working with his hands.
He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him deeply. Jonathan is survived by his father, Claude Garrett Jr.; his daughter, Heather Garrett, and her husband, Austin Malone. He also leaves behind his brothers, Jason Garrett, Timothy Garrett, and Anthony Garrett, and his sisters, Teresa Eddinger, Tammy Linville, and Sarah Perryman. Jonathan was a proud grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren, Karlie Malone, Ava Malone, Olivia Malone, and Nathan Malone.
